Val Phillips Wins 100,000 UK Pounds Jackpot

A grandmother living in Suffolk who has been playing bingo as a past time for the past 35 years finally hit the jackpot after all those years winning 100,000 UK Pounds.

Tle lucky grandmother and mother of four, Val Phillips, who is still in shock and cannot believe the fortune that befell her as she was the winner of the National Bingo Game that was held at the Breckland Club, where she is a regular player, located in Brandon.

59 year old Val Phillips and her husband, Albert, were at the Breckland Club that day when she had completed the full set which equals to 39 numbers, winning not only the top jackpot prize of 100,000 UK Pounds for the National Bingo Game, but the regional prize of 1,380 UK Pounds and the Breckland club prize of 56 UK Pounds.

Anybody who has seen her after her win have described her whole reaction as very calm and collected although she kept saying that she must not get excited until she has the check for her winnings in her hand. She will share what she won with those who are important to her and only after that will she think about what to do on what's left of her share.

The National Bingo Game in Britain is the second largest computer controlled game in England after the National Lottery. The National Bingo Games are played in about 500 clubs which are linked to it everyday nationwide.

According to Breckland Club Manager, Elaine Thomas, Val Phillips' win was one of the biggest jackpot wins in almost three years. The last time that someone won that big was in September 2003. The Breckland Club had a smaller win last year of around 20,000 UK Pounds, but they are very happy that Val Phillips won because she is a frequent player there.
